The annual Stereophile list of Recommended Components for 2009 has hit the news stand and Bel Canto fills many of the lists this year, across various categories too.

The Bel Canto PHONO3 scored a Class B rating in the Phono Preamps/Moving-Coil Step Up Devices category. "The Bel Canto offered superior dynamics and soundstaging precision".

The Bel Canto DAC3 scored a Class A rating in the Digital Processors category. "It's excellent reproduction of soundstage depth and width, silky-smooth treble, and sweet midrange resulted in 'enhanced accuracy' that allowed JA to hear deeper into the recordings....the Bel Canto e.One DAC3 is the best measuring digital component I have ever encountered". In the same category, the Bel Canto USB Link 24/96 received a Class B rating.

The Bel Canto REF1000 MkII power amplifiers received a Class A rating in the Two Channel Power Amplifiers category. "The new Bel Canto was 'dead silent' and sounded 'clean, powerful, and neutral' with a heftier bottom end and a more natural midrange. No longer marked by the shortcomings of other digital amps, the Bel Canto can be compared with the cream of other amps I've had in my system' enthused Kal". The Bel Canto S300 dual mono power ampifier also scored in the same category, a Class B rating.

Finally, the Bel Canto S300iU Integrated Amplifier with USB DAC, received a Class B rating in the Integrated Amplifier and Receivers category. "...the e.One S300iU impressed WP with it's top-to-bottom coherence and taut, explosive bass"

All in all a fine result for Bel Canto, proving once again that Bel Canto delivers superb high-end audio products.
